Event History

Walk for Johno started in memory of Geelong local John Spencer, who suffered a fatal Heart Attack in February 2015. Now in it's third year, the event will be all about remembering and supporting the many loved ones, friends and community members whom have encounter cardiovascular issues. All funds raised will go towards the lifesaving work of the Heart Foundation.

The walk is 37km from Queenscliff to Eastern Gardens, Geelong along the pictursque Bellarine Rail Trail. The successful event in 2017 involved over 250 walkers, supporters & volunteers who together raised $25k (over $37k since 2016). The event also contributed to an increase in media attention with regards to heart health in the Geelong and surrounding regions.

There are 6 walk options of varying distances; from the full 37km right through to a lovely 3km walk. Just choose a walk that suits you. It's a fabulous day and concludes with a raffle, presentations, activites for the kids and a picnic in the park!

To be a part of the event in 2018, simply Register Now for free! Why not even sign up to fundraise for your own loved one as well!
