Our family normally start setting up our Christmas display in September.
That's how long it normally takes to set up over 200,000 colourful bulbs at our Thomastown home. Some of you may have noticed while driving past our home that no Christmas lights have been set up this year. We thought long and hard about our decision and for the safety of all our families and yours, and the beautiful children, it's with great sadness we decided back in October not to put up the Christmas display this year due to COVID-19 and the passing of our dear friend Michele who has played Santa Claus for over a decade!
As many of you know, Antonio suffered a heart attack which resulted in him undergoing a triple bypass surgery. We have used our annual Christmas display to support the Heart Foundation for the last 18 years, with over $200,000 raised for the charity to date.
We have had multiple people reach out to us since our announcement to ask if they could still make a donation to the Heart Foundation, which is why we've decided to set up this fundraising page. Whilst we cannot set up the Christmas lights this year, we would still love to support the Heart Foundation for the 16th year in a row.
Heart disease remains Australia’s biggest killer, claiming 48 lives every day.
