My target 125 kms
Today marks 1 and a half years since my beautiful brother passed away from coronary atherosclerosis. A heart disease which causes a build up of plaque in the arteries. This is extremely rare to effect someone so young, so when my brother went to the doctors for his symptoms there was no real urgency. He passed 2 weeks before his appointment with the cardiologist.
So I am taking on a challenge to walk 5 km a day for the rest of June to raise money for heart research and health professionals. So that the next time someone has symptoms they can get an appointment before it’s too late.
Heart disease remains Australia’s biggest killer, claiming 48 lives every day. Your donation will help the Heart Foundation to transform Australia’s heart health by:
